REVIEW: Lakme Absolute Shine Line EyeLiner in Smoky Grey

Navrathri has been crazy hectic with the puja and even though I am on holiday, I still have papers to correct. (Time consuming. But we'll talk about that another time). I love Navrathri. I learnt that there are colours associated with each day and that isn't a very Tam Bram thing. I found it fascinating so I'm currently reading more about that. Also this has been the BEST Navrathri in terms of all the gifts I've gotten!!! I am just loving it. But more on that later.
Today I have a review of the Lakme Absolute Shine EyeLiner in the colour Smoky Grey.

Ever since I read about Lakme launching the Royal Shine Line I knew I had to get something from that line. I have 2 products that I are part of my giveaway and I'm hoping that the winner will review those for me. (Click here to enter my giveaway if you haven't yet)
The  first thing that I picked up had to be the eyeliner because I use eyeliner A LOT! If you go back you will see that I have reviewed some different coloured eyeliners before (Click here to read about the Avon one and here to read the Maybelline one).
The other colours that caught my eye were Gold, a metallic Green and a Light pink.

So why did I go for the Smoky Grey and not a Gold?
Well as much as gold is a festive colour, I am really not sure if I can pull it off. So I was kinda playing it safe.  (here is a link to see the other shades)

My take on the packaging

  • Very Cute packaging.
  • Transparent body so you can see the colour of the eyeliner.
  • Seems to have this kind of mechanism that helps remove excess product from the brush as you remove the brush out of the bottle. Kind of what you see in mascaras.
  • The brush is about medium length, convenient to use with a fine tip. It certainly give precision.

And the colour...

  • Grey with hints of silver.
  • looks great on its own and paired with eyeshadows.
  • Metallic finish but not glossy.
  • Not waterproof. It kinda washed off my hand with just water. does leave behind slight specks of glitter. But with makeup remover it gets removed easily.

Price: 290 INR

Tips for use: For a clubbing/ partying look try a winged liner with this. Looks amazing!! You don't need any eyeshadow.

This is the look that I wore for Puja one day. LOTD and OOTD will be up soon.

Overall:
I like the product, I like the price and I am thinking of getting another colour. It is limited edition so if you want one, go soon. Many places here are already out of the Golden colour and they too have no idea if they will get another stock.

Hope you try it. Do let me know. And oh, do enter the giveway, Just a few days left.
