Bloggers Made Me Buy: Maybelline Blush Studio Cheeky Glow

I love Christmas holidays because it is the only time in the academic year when I have no school work to do. (still have tuition kids coming in, but that's okay). Having no school work gives me so much more time to do other things. Other things usually include lots of tv (read as streaming online and watching shows), lots of sleeping time (its really cold, okay) and nowadays it means time to blog. So I put together a list of products that I HAD to review before the year ended and that is exactly what I am doing
The first time I heard about the blush was not on a blog persay, it was on a YouTube channel by The Delhi Fashion Blogger. I heard talk about a blush for 225INR and I was like Whaaat!! So then I went hunting for it all over town (read as the Health and Glow near my place and near my workspot). By the time I managed to pick it up, there were reviews on other blogs and I was convinced that I simply had to have this. I have been in a total blush phase the past 6 months and I have really accumulated quite a few.

Today I will be reviewing two shades from this range and I am eagerly waiting to buy the third (Do you know I have been on a spending ban for over 2 months! and I have managed to maintain it!! yaay)

Anyway getting back to the review.

What I love about this product:

  • Really smooth and fine milled
  • Small cute packaging
  • Matte finish
  • Lovely natural looking colours
  • Lasts for about 4 hours on me.
  • The colour can be built up slowly.
  • The price- 225INR or 250INR now I guess.

What I don't like

  • There is some product fallout on the sides on the pan. But that could be because I swirl my brush in the pan.

About the shades
Creamy Cinnamon- It is a earthy brown with peach undertones. Perfect for everyday. Looks a but like a toned down peach on my face. Sometimes I use it to contour lightly.

Peachy Sweetie- True to its name it is a warm peach and not as bright as it looks in the pictures. It gives a lovely flush to the cheeks.

Tip- Use a dense blush brush and the pigment gets picked up beautifully. I use the Lakme Blush Brush (Read the review here)

here and here and here are some looks with these blushes.

Before I sign off, Maybelline I truly love you for the amazing products you have given us this year.

Have you tried this blush? What do you think?

  1. I completely agree with you. In the crazy price-hiking competition, Maybelline seems to cater affordable and good quality products. I love the peachie sweetie. You are right about the sides getting dirty, but you can't help it wither. happens with all the blushes; but this one is more prominent because of the color.
