Monthly favourites: August 2014

Time is really flying by! August already! Soon it will the blog's birthday then my birthday then New Year. Time to make some big plans!!

So the last month my skin has been fairly well behaved since I have been well behaved. Been watching my diet (read as reducing oily foods) and exercising regularly. Thanks to this I have been able to try quite a few products and found some really lovely ones.

I am obsessed with this lipstick! Since the day I got it I have just been using it and only it. It has become my go-to lipstick. (P.S. I have a giveaway going on where one of you can win this lipstick. Click here to enter)

2) Max Factor Masterpiece mascara
Of late I feel like my lashes are suddenly sparse! Maybe I am just shedding lashes like I shed hair. But this mascara makes my lashes look longer. It is great for an everyday kind of look. I have been using it a lot this month (that's also in an attempt to finish this before I move onto the next mascara.)

I have never really paid too much attention to my eyebrows until I started using this. Now I use it every time I am going out. This and mascara have become a staple.

Accessories- Jewellery

4) Silver bow bracelet.
The minute I set my eyes upon this, I just had to have it. I snatched it off the rack at Pantaloons before anyone else could spot it. Isn't it just the cutest ever!

5) Gold hoop earrings.
I am a die hard fan for hoop earrings. I think they go with everything and there are so many styles that you can find them in. I have worn hoops with a sari to work, with salwars, with jeans and even a dress. This is just a simple gold one. Exactly what I had been looking for a while. Pantaloons, I thank you for having this.

Accessories- bag and footwear

6) A Black Singapore bag
One of my students gave this to me as a gift at the end of the year and I completely forgot about it until I cleared out my bags recently. It is a perfect size to carry books and an umbrella. Sometimes when I go shopping I just drop everything into this and don't take a plastic bag. Just one zip so I don't have to dig into too many pouches searching for my keys. Also it can be washed and isn't cloth, so it is perfect for this rainy season.

7) White Chappal
My sister had a gift coupon and well once she was done buying footwear for work there was some money left over so she told me to buy a pair, and this is what I got from Reliance Footprint.
White is an amazing colour and with the small diamond studs on the top, it looks so classy!! So So classy!! I just love it!! Click here to see how I've styled it.

Nail Polish
8) Sally Hansen glitter nail polish in Strobe lights
This. Is. Gorgeous. It was a set of two for 250INR, so my cousin took one and I took one. I have worn this so often this month. Getting it off is a pain though. If you follow me on Instagram, you would have seen pictures of this. Review in a bit. (follow me on Instagram. I have something exciting brewing there. My id is IshtyleAwhile)

9) Tetley Green Tea with lemon, honey and ginger.
I have been drinking green tea for a while. I try to drink it twice a day and load my system with the necessary antioxidants. This particular flavour is very refreshing. I love having this in the afternoon, just before tuition kids turn up. That's the only way I can stay awake :P

10) Gnocchi
I have tried making this three times this month and I'm still trying to perfect it. I am not going to stop until I've gotten a soft creamy melt-in-your-mouth gnocchi. Unfortunately I don't have a picture of that. I will post one once I make an awesome gnocchi.

So. What have you guys been loving this month?
