Being at home makes you go extra dressy any time you go out! (Plus as a beauty blogger I'm always looking for a chance to click OOTD pictures). So when we got an invite to go for a grahapravesham, this is what I wore.
It looks like a set, but I actually got the top as part of a salwar set years ago. The top was too big for me at that point so my mom just used the salwar pants and dupatta. It finally fits me after about 7 years I think. I have no idea what I was thinking when I picked it up. OK actually I do have an idea. The neckline design was so pretty! Anyway when I rediscovered this in my wardrobe recently I realised that I had actually never worn it. So it was a brand new 7 year old kurta mix and matched with a salwar pant that I bought from Awesome. (Yes that is a brand and I love their leggings).
Initially I intended of going without a dupatta but after seeing the pictures I wore a dupatta and went. It looked much better. However I forgot to click pictures of that.
So here is the outfit, followed by the makeup.
Breakdown of the makeup.
The eye makeup is done using the Makeup Revolution London Redemption Iconic 3 palette.
Eyeliner is Maybelline Gel Eyeliner in black and kajal is the Lakme Absolute Ultimate Kohl.
To finish the eye makeup I used MaxFactor mascara (review is ready and coming up soon).
I filled my eyebrows using Rimmel Eyebrown pencil.
The face is my usual MAC Studiofinish in NC 44 as foundation, concealer is L'Oreal True match and MAC Studiofix in NW 35. The face is set with Deborah Milano compact.
For the cheeks I have layered NYX blush in Mocha over MUA cream blusher in Yummy.
On my lips I have the new Palladio Be Chic lipstick in Merlot. I just got it in my Fabbag and I am totally loving it.
All the makeup that I am wearing is my makeup basket for this month. I'm going to be having a post on that very soon. The pictures are ready, just need to finish typing.
So what do you think of the complete look?
