I have never done my skin care routine as a post. Why? Because even though I cleanse and tone and moisturize, I just used random products. I never really stuck to just one. When I did stick to one routine it was because my dermatologist had me use a bunch of medicated products to fix my skin.
However for almost 6 months now my skin has been in fairly good condition.(I spoke too soon. I broke out just after I drafted this post :P)Maybe it is the lack of chalk dust (I am back working with chalk now, so lets see how my skin fares now), or maybe it was just being at home and eating hot meals. It could also be the fact that I have had a set routine for more than 4 months now.
In September 2014, I attended the ZA beauty school and I picked up a whole bunch of their products after the workshop. Since the day I bought these products I have been using them, every day for over 4 months and I am ready to review them.
The weather has transitioned from stick monsoon to dry winter, but I have managed to maintain this skin care routine. It is the first time I have used all products from one line.
As soon as I wake up in the morning, I splash cold water on my face. One it wakes me up, and two it gets rid of the excess oil that I wake up with.
The ZA TrueWhite line of products are a part of my post shower routine.
1) ZA True White Cleansing foam.
This is the first foaming facewash that I have used. At the ZA Beauty School, they taught us to lather up the facewash before using it on our face, as against the usual, apply on the face and rub in circles. (Click here to read more skincare tips that I learnt)It lathers well and smells very mild. I don't know why but it definitely smells like being in a spa. I have been using since September now and there is still a bit left. I use it twice a day. Considering that it has lasted this long, I think it is worth the money.
I do know that toning is important but I have never really managed to be so consistent in using a toner. This toner is really hydrating and it doesn't irritate my skin at all. It feels very refreshing and it is definitely the product that I first fell in love with. I love the way it makes my skin feel. This too has lasted for almost 4 months now. It is definitely not affordable but if you get it on discount, I say go for it.
3) ZA True White Emulsion.
So there is a Day cream in this line, but I decided to go for only the Emulsion because the day cream felt too heavy at that point. I really like the True White Emulsion but it isn't hydrating enough for the winter. My skin is starting to age and so it has started to get kind of dry during winter. I have shifted to another medicated moisturiser for now or I mix an essential oil with this and use it.
Overall this range has made my acne scarring look lighter and in general I feel like the texture of my skin has improved.
None of the products have given me breakouts. I love how the entire range smells.
However the only product that I would probably not repurchase would be the True White Emulsion. For the price it isn't like the most amazing product. I really like the facewash and the toner for the summer months and when my skin is more combination than dry.
Next I plan to try the facewash and the toner from the anti ageing range.
Have you tried any of these products? What is your thought on this range?
P.S. none of these products were sponsored. I bought all of this with my own money.
