OOTD: Lets have some tea and gossip in a floral dress

In the 4 years that I have been blogging, I have only one outfit post that is a dress from Avirate. I am really not a dress kind of person mainly because I rarely get occasions to wear dresses. Recently I got another dress from Vesa Fashions and I have styled it here.

For Women's Day I met up with my school friends for tea. We have this usual adda where we like going for tea and gossip, and for a change I dug out a dress that I hadn't worn in over a year and wore it.

This cotton dress was bought just before I went on a trip with my family to Andaman in January 2014. After that I trip I haven'r worn this at all  *smiles sheepishly*.

I wanted to keep it simple and go for a slightly boho look with an earthy feel. I added a tan belt, from Wills Lifestyle to give a little more shape to the dress. The dress itself is from some shop in some side road of Commercial street. I think I paid about 200INR for it. My earring were hoops, and I added some beaded bracelets. On my feet, I have a simple pair of sandals from Metro shoes. The sling bag I have is also from Wills Lifestyle, The bag just fits perfectly with the earthy tones of the belt and the sandals.

I made my friends take it in turns to click pictures of me as we walked along the road. It was quite hilarious to watch people just looking at us clicking pictures.

For make up, I have an orange lipstick on my lips. Yes I know, orange is a colour I have never worn before. I am experimenting with some new lipsticks. I used a bronzer to add some colour to the face and instead of foundation, I have only concealer on my face
For the eyes, I lined just the lower lash line with L'Oreal Color Riche Le Kohl in Pure Espresso.

This is one of my best friend's from school.

So what did you do for Women's Day?
