Multi tasking is second nature to a woman. Cooking while watching the baby. Driving while making a mental list of things to buy. Blogging while taking chemistry tuition. Well, that last one is kind of specific to just me I guess. I would be lying if I said it was a breeze and it all just came so easily to me.
Being a blogger and a teacher means planning each second of the day and meticulously working on multiple to-do lists at the same time. It means that I have to live up expectations of my students and my readers. Sometimes it feels like my worlds are far apart and at other times they just collide and clash. I have my moments where I stare at an answer script and all I can think about is how to accessorize a particular dress. Then there are moments when I have no inspiration to blog because I am too busy worrying whether some particular student will get the marks that he/ she has worked for.
I spend hours on the laptop, either typing question papers, putting together powerpoint presentations for class or working on content for the blog. It is tiring. There is no doubt in the fact that it is tiring, but the one thing that keeps me going is knowing that I am lucky to be able to do it all. I don't know for how much longer I will be able to have my cake and eat it as well, but for now it is working just great.
4 years of blogging has brought about discipline. It has made me throttle the right side of my brain to bring out the creativity. Blogging has made me combine all the loves of my life- writing, makeup, fashion and teaching. What more could I ask for. I am being Me.
A big thank you to Jabong.com for recognising women bloggers and empowering us, and of course thank you for the badge that now adorns the side link of my blog.
