Styling a Printed White Shirt

Bring out the prints and the whites

My house is full of people right now. My cousin is here with my nephews and it isn't just a housefull. They are a handful as well!!! The elder one is pretty manageable. Give him a book, food on time and he is very peaceful (This sounds a lot like me. Maybe that is an elder child thing). The younger one is nonstop nonsense. He chatters constantly, teases the elder one, rocks the rocking chair till it tips over and will not sit in one place. He wants to be out and about all the time. However I must mention that he is also very helpful. He helps set the table, fill water, and small odd jobs. Such a cutie pie.

Anyway it was only when my cousin said that she was coming to India, that I remembered that we had shot for an outfit post when I was in Singapore. Actually even my Singapore vlogs were not completed. (I had gone to Singapore 6 months ago). Shame on me. I promise I am working on getting all pending posts done, so that includes some outfit posts shot some time ago, a couple of vlogs and  many products reviews.

When I was in Singapore I did some shopping on Bugis street and honestly I didn't really do a haul. I did buy some stuff, but not sure if it was really haul worthy. These white based printed shirts are really on trend and there were dime a dozen to be found in Bugis Street. The cotton is super soft and they are called Korean shirts, I think. They have some really adorable prints and after seeing the ones that my cousin owned, I decided I had to buy atleast one.

It cost about 10SGD and both my cousin and I decided that we had to wear it on the same day in our respective styles.

M's style
Say hi to my cousin everyone. We've practically grown up together. She is the closest I have to an elder sister because I am usually the oldest wherever I go. We both love makeup and dressing up and she is my favourite shopping partner.

M's shirt has a a mustache, a pair of glasses and a bowing hat arranged to look like a man's face. She chose to pair it with fitted light blue denim, tucked it in and added a green belt with a tassle. The look was completed with a beaded bracelet and silver flats.

My style.
My shirt had red and blue anchors on it and I paired with black jeans. Minimal gold bracelets and hoops were used to accessorize. I completed the look with a pair of espadrilles that I bought from Rubi Shoes. They are the most comfortable pair or shoes ever and I have pretty much worn them out. I did have makeup on, but the heat was so much, that it just melted and it looks like I have nothing on my face.

We shot this in Gardens By the Bay along with Harine from Crazy for Cosmetics. I am sure you have already seen the collab video that we shot. Btw, she has already uploaded the outfit that she wore that day.
